Introduction In my family,birth
we are two brothers and one sister. Both my siblings are happily married. My
brother is running his own business in Kanpur. Support of my family members helped me a
lot to finish my schooling from B.N.S.D.S.N. Kanpur, U.P. After that, I have chosen to do
B. Tech from Kanpur University. Interest towards research was developed during
graduation. Hence, I prepared for GATE and got admission in the masters program of IIT
Delhi. Keen interest towards exploring new possibilities in the research motivated me to
carry out research career through PhD. Now, I want to be part of an research institution
where I can contribute through technical skills.
Achievements Secured IIIrd rank in institute level technical event Open house 2015 at IIT Delhi.
Secured IIIrd rank in national level paper presentation contest in UPES Dehradun.
Qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) three times in 2008, 2009
and 2010 with score 458,471 and 559.
Courses taught
Advanced transport phenomena
Process engineering
Biosafety and IPR
Alternative energy sources
Minor Value added products Sugar extraction from mahua flowers obtained from forests to produce
project from mahua (Madhuca
bio-ethanol and other value added hydrocarbons through fermentation.
indica) fermentation
Minor project Quantification of Cellulose is a potential feedstock for the production of
hydroxylmethylfurfural from value added chemicals such as 5-hydroxylmethylfurfural.
value added hydrocarbons
derived from biomass Depolymerisation of microcrystalline cellulose was
performed using sulfate ion promoted zirconia catalyst. The
products were characterized and quantified using HPLC.
Minor project Separation of D-limonene The waste oil derived from pyrolysis of tyre can be an
from tyre oil by distillation
important source for refined chemicals. D-limonene is one
of the useful valuable hydrocarbon found in tyre oil.
Separation (by distillation) and identification (using GC-
MS and HPLC technique) of D-limonene from other oil
components was performed.
