Family Life Cycle
Young children- Tommy would start school. Weekly meetings
and IEP meetings. Self- Esteem is the main concern for
Tommy.
Families with Adolescence- Tommy has now went through
puberty and is being more defiant. He has many negative
thoughts and his family is currently working on preventing
victimization in Tommys mind.
Tommy has also gotten much bigger, which is taking a toll on
DeeDees body. She goes to the gym daily to keep her
strength up to meet the physical demands for Tommy. She
also uses the gym as a stress reliever.
Family Life Cycle
Launching children- Tommy is now finished with high school
and entering adulthood. DeeDee needs help taking care of
Tommy so they got an aid. The aid helps take care of Tommy
and lift him during his time at the Pickles home. The aid
spends about 8 hours a day with Tommy.
The pickles got a van that is wheelchair accessible now that
Tommy is out of school and the school district isnt providing
transportation. This gives Tommy and his family the chance
to spend more time together outside of the home.
Family life cycle
Families in late middle age- Tommy is getting older and so
are his parents. They are having a hard time taking care of
him and have made the choice to put him in a group home.
They visit him daily, and spend all day Saturday with him.
They also take him to church on Sundays.
Families near the end of life- Tommys mom dies and Tommy
has a hard time interacting with others. His sister Angelica,
takes him home to live with her and her family. His nieces
and nephews lift his spirits and bring him happiness again.
