 Started one year PG Diploma in office
Management and Secretarial Practice
 In 1986
 Introduced a two-year full time Masters
Degree Program in Management (MBA)

 Earlier was known as Department of
Management Studies (DMS)
 In 2005 - 2006 was rechristened was The
Business School (TBS)
 In 2001, Faculty of Management Studies
introduced two-year Masters Degree Program in
Tourism Management (MTM)
 In 2005, Centre for Hospitality and Tourism
Management (CHTM) was established under
Faculty of Management Studies

 Provide Quality Business Education
 Produce Competent Professionals who
are dynamic, proactive, focused and fully
equipped to assume offices and shoulder
responsibilities in various managerial and
administrative capacities

Guidelines
 Minimum attendance is 75% in each course
 Two Examination in an academic year
 Internal Assessment shall be a constituent part
of the semester examination
 30% weightage – Mid Term Exam, Assignments,
Presentation, Snap Test
 Minimum Passing Marks
a) 40% in University Exam and Internal Assessment
b) 40% in each Seminar, Workshop, Directed Study,
Summer Project Report and Viva Voce
c) 50% in aggregate of (a) and (b)
