By: Elly Smith, Erin Smith, and Melody Ozuna

Buying Our Tickets!
Erin, Melody, and I booked our tickets to Mexico and we are staying at Hotel
Geneve Ciudad de Mexico. We will be staying in Mexico for 3 nights and 4
days, September 2nd to the 6th. After spending $2,478.54 on our roundtrip
flights and hotel room, we are left with 223144.94 pesos. We got a package
deal that takes care of breakfast for us!
Day 1
Today is our first day in Mexico. We started the day off with breakfast on our balcony and thinking
about what we wanted to do. We decided on going on the Puebla and Cholula Full-Day Tour from
Mexico City. It costs 717 pesos per person. The day was filled with lots of amazing sites including the
world's largest pyramid and Pueblas chapel of Rosary. A 3-course lunch was included in today's
excursion so we didnt have to stop somewhere. At the end of the day, we walked to a restaurant close
to our hotel called Almara. We had delicious seafood and it was a great way to end our night.
Altogether our meal costed about 17937 pesos which left us with about 203,056.94 pesos.
Day 2
Today we are going on a bike tour which costs 2,421.29 pesos
($45 per person) and leaves us with 200,635.65 pesos. Before
going on our tour, we walked to the Starbucks down the street
for breakfast which costed 357.94 pesos. We are going on a
Mexico City Bike and Cultural Tour which includes going to
the Chapultepec Palace (a government palace), Paseo de la
Reforma, Angel of Independence, and the Monument of
Revolucion (Monumento a la Revolucion), Palacio de Bellas
Artes, and Zocalo. Fortunately the tour included a nice lunch
for us all to have. For dinner we ate at El Trompito Taquera
which costed 537.28 pesos. After a full day we headed back to
our hotel to get some much needed rest to recharge for
tomorrow. After all of our expenses today we have 199,740.43
pesos left.
Day 3
Sadly today was our last day to adventure. There is so many things to do in Mexico, that we couldnt decide what to
do. Eventually we made a mutual decision to go to the Rio Secreto Underground River Tour with Crystal Caves. As
soon as we figured out what we wanted to do, we packed up our complimentary breakfast and headed to our
destination. This tour was definitely one of the most amazing experiences of our lives! We got to see the Rio Secreto
Nature Reserve, swim through an underground river and enjoy the tranquility of an ancient cave, and see gorgeous
crystal-like cave formations above the turquoise water. After this amazing adventure, we were all starting to get very
hungry. We decided to go to a restaurant by the name of Alux. At Alux we all shared two platters of Surf & Turf
Lobster. This meal left us all feeling very full so we decided to take a break and relax in our hotel room. We had all
taken long naps and we were still pretty full. We wanted to just eat a small portion of something before bed so we
went to a restaurant called El Tacontento and shared some chips and salsa. All together it was a pretty eventful day!
The Rio Secreto Underground River Tour costed 10053.87 pesos, the Surf & Turf Lobster platters costed 1160 pesos,
and the chips and salsa only costed 5.50 pesos. After spending the amount of pesos that we spent, we are left with
188,521.06 pesos. I think we can all agree today was a pretty successful last day!
Coming Back Home
This four day Mexican getaway has been amazing! We ate amazing food, went
on awesome adventures, and learned about a different culture! Although it
has been a great trip, it is time to head back home. Throughout the whole trip
we spent 78,793.94 pesos ($4421.07). We are left with 188,516.56 pesos
($10,577.52).
Thank you!
