We are a small family from Ibagué and we decided to live in Colombia to improve

our lifestyle, I am the youngest cousin of our family group, I travel with my aunt and my

cousins, who are made up of the older and younger sister; we will describe our life

experience during the last few months in the city of Columbia. We woke up at 8:00 in the

morning to have our breakfast, usually we tried to prepare typical food of our homeland,

when we finished. We went out to enjoy the landscapes that this beautiful city of Columbia

offered us since we were in a time of spring weather, at 12: 00 noon we went to lunch in the

different typical restaurants of the city, where their meals are represented by seafood or the

outstanding dish of shrimp with corn grits, we spent the afternoon visiting different tourist

sites such as the art museum, the Nickelodeon theater, among others which we will mention

later. We had dinner at 8:00 at night ending the day with a family watched movie night or

went out to representative night spots of the city.

Experience of the places visited

Being in family company, we have experienced different tastes, in the company of

different changes (places).

Columbia has fantastic places such as: the art museum, the town theater, the Trustus

Theater, the Nickelodeon Theater and the riverbanks zoo and garden, among others.

As a family, this place caught our attention, since it is one of the best known and most

desired by tourists, the prestigious Halls Chophouse restaurant has a variety of exquisite

wines and the best fish fillets that we have tasted in all our lives, We also savor a cheese

board for all kinds of tastes, giving indulgence to the palate.

Another of the places that we visited for the second time is the prestigious Museum of Art,

this is one of the places with a lot of magic and dedication by those who have been part of

it.

Columbia Museum of Art teaches: talks, classes, demonstrations and more, thus

being an impact for our views and knowledge in front of all types of art. There we observed

complete hygiene and distancing tactics due to Covid 19, in that way we had a safe

welcome and ready to enjoy various paintings.

Feelings that we go through as a family when experiencing new changes

As a family we have experienced very drastic changes, since we decided to come

from Colombia to go to South Carolina, we have gone through different feelings to leave

our land behind, all this linked for a great reason (better quality of life), this in a certain

way It has driven us to be where we are, we have remained united and with fixed strategies
for each one of us, I fulfill the role of older sister, for this reason I played a very important

role for my sisters and I believed that this step should be done in a big way .

Talking with my nieces we came to the conclusion that Columbia is a great city to live in, it

has beautiful tourist sites great variety of food, we feel very happy to have the fortune to

have visited this great city because it gave us a very nice comfort with all its culture and

personality.

Somos una pequeña familia de Ibagué y decidimos vivir en Colombia para mejorar

nuestro estilo de vida, soy la prima menor de nuestro grupo familiar, viajo con mi tía y mis

primos, que están conformados por la hermana mayor y la menor; describiremos nuestra

experiencia de vida durante los últimos meses en la ciudad de Colombia. Nos levantamos a

las 8:00 de la mañana para tomar nuestro desayuno, por lo general tratamos de preparar

comida típica de nuestra tierra, al terminar. Salimos a disfrutar de los paisajes que nos

ofrecía esta hermosa ciudad de Columbia ya que estábamos en una época de clima

primaveral, a las 12: 00 del mediodía fuimos a almorzar en los diferentes restaurantes

típicos de la ciudad, donde sus comidas están representadas por los mariscos o el destacado

plato de camarones con sémola de maíz, pasamos la tarde visitando diferentes sitios

turísticos como el museo de arte, el teatro Nickelodeon, entre otros que mencionaremos

más adelante. Cenamos a las 8:00 de la noche terminando el día con una noche de películas

vistas en familia o saliendo a lugares nocturnos representativos de la ciudad.

 Experiencia de los lugares visitados

Al estar en compañía de la familia, hemos experimentado diferentes gustos, en

compañía de diferentes cambios (lugares).

Columbia tiene lugares fantásticos como: el museo de arte, el teatro de la ciudad, el teatro

Trustus, el teatro Nickelodeon y el zoológico y jardín de la ribera, entre otros.

Como familia, este lugar nos llamó la atención, ya que es uno de los más conocidos

y deseados por los turistas, el prestigioso restaurante Halls Chophouse tiene una variedad

de vinos exquisitos y los mejores filetes de pescado que hemos probado en toda nuestra

vida, también saboreamos una tabla de quesos para todo tipo de gustos, dando gusto al

paladar. Otro de los lugares que visitamos por segunda vez es el prestigioso Museo de Arte,

este es uno de los lugares con mucha magia y dedicación por parte de quienes han formado

parte de él.

El Museo de Arte de Columbia imparte: charlas, clases, demostraciones y más,

siendo así un impacto para nuestras opiniones y conocimientos frente a todo tipo de arte.

Allí observamos una completa higiene y táctica de distanciamiento debido a Covid 19, de

esa manera tuvimos una acogida segura y dispuesta a disfrutar de diversas pinturas.

Sentimientos que vivimos como familia al experimentar nuevos cambios

Como familia hemos vivido cambios muy drásticos, desde que decidimos venir de

Colombia para ir a Carolina del Sur, hemos pasado por diferentes sentimientos al dejar

atrás nuestra tierra, todo esto ligado por una gran razón (mejor calidad de vida), esto en

cierta forma nos ha impulsado a estar donde estamos, nos hemos mantenido unidos y con

estrategias fijas para cada uno de nosotros, yo cumplo el rol de hermana mayor, por esta
razón jugué un papel muy importante para mis hermanas y creí que este paso debía hacerse

en grande .

Hablando con mis sobrinas llegamos a la conclusión de que Colombia es una gran

ciudad para vivir, tiene hermosos sitios turísticos gran variedad de comida, nos sentimos

muy felices de tener la fortuna de haber visitado esta gran ciudad porque nos dio un confort

muy agradable con toda su cultura y personalidad.
