How can we find a way to effectively lose weight?

Goal-Setting Theory is a motivation and goal setting
research by Dr. Edwin Locke

Goal: work out in the gym for 1 hour every day for 3
months to try to lose 25 pounds. Eat 3 healthy meals of
chicken breast and rice a day. After every 2 weeks weigh
myself to see if I get any lighter and adjust my goals
accordingly.

Goal energize performance by motivating people to exert


effort in line with the goal
Goals motivate people to persist in activities through time
Goals direct peoples attention to relevant behaviors and
