I will model and demonstrate how to make a


PBJ doing the steps the students tell me to do.
(using sequencing)

While doing so, I will make sure my speech is


appropriately controlled
HANDS ON ACTIVIT Y

Each student will build their own PBJ using


the sequencing steps they remember
REPETITION

I will model making the PBJ for students


as much as they need me to, in order to
see the steps of sequencing
OPPORTUNITIES FOR INTERACTION

I will walk around and answer questions while


they are making it and working on their own
GRAPHIC ORGANIZER

They have a brainstorm sheet to keep note of


the steps they’re doing if they choose to.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTION

Move onto “How to” worksheet to write


steps in sequence.

If the writing is too difficult for ELL


students they may draw the steps
POSITIVE FEEDBACK AND ENCOURAGEMENT

Students can share their work at the end


Ill be giving positive feedback and
encouragement when they do so
ASSESSMENT

Walk around and make sure they’re


working/ making sandwich using steps
and sequence
