HFE Pre-K News April 2018

We have tackled some very big learning topics this year, and made many Dates to Remember
Happy Birthday connections to the world around us. Our final units are How the World Works
including life cycles and recycling, plus Movement and Motion. There are many
April 2-6 – Spring Break
Charlie Zierler - 11 more days of learning, so hang on tight!
Vaiden Chadda - 17 April 9-24 – School-wide
Our Math unit of addition and subtraction is underway, with the students Milestones testing – limited
Ayla Mendelson - 20 understanding how to visualize quantities and how to add to and take away visitors allowed
Benjamin Phillips- 24 using fingers, manipulatives, and counting up/down from a number. We’ll revisit
all math skills by the end of the year as a refresher. April 24- College Pride day
Remember to Read, Read, Read at home! These little sponges are taking in
April 27 – STEM day
sight words and showing amazing early reading skills.
