The 8 REASONS OF FAILURE are:

1- They don’t take the business seriously

2- Doubt
3- They do not invest enough time to get trained to
master the business
4- They think it’s a “get-rich-quick” scheme
5- They have no focus
6- They don’t know how to present the business
7- They don’t look in the future
8- They have no vision
Reason #1: They don’t take the
business seriously
• It's not small time!
• There is no such thing as a small-time business, only a
“small time business man." Every business is good if you
take it seriously and manage it properly.
• People think that to qualify as a serious business you need
a large capital. (paradigm shift)
• Many people say, "I'll try it; if it works, then I'll take it
seriously." As if an entrepreneur says, "I'll invest $10,000 in
an bakery, and then take it seriously if it works."
• Take it seriously first!
• The best fertilizer for a farm is the farmer's feet.
• First you take it seriously, then others will. (set the culture,
be the change that you want to see)
Reason #2: Doubt
• Business is a faith endeavor.
• Doubt is a killer- it eats at your faith.
• Stay away from dream stealers.
• Don't get into arguments unless you are doing the influencing.
• Some will, some won't, so what? Someone else is waiting!
• Hang around networkers- get faith!
• NOBODY has %100 success rate.
• Rejection is part of this business.
• Don't focus on your rejections, focus on why you got rejected.
• You have influence over your network whether you like it or not- they
look at you. When you have doubt, it will spread down in your
organization. Show them your confidence!
• Are you a positive influence or a negative influence?
• Positive down, negative up!
Reason #3: They don’t invest enough
time to be trained to master the
business
• Learn everything you can about
– The industry
– The company
– The plan
• The more you know, the better you can
represent and defend the business, and the more
confident you are.
• Training builds confidence
• Do not deprive yourself of impartation
• Never stop training!
Reason #4: They think it's a “get-rich
quick” scheme
• When you want to grow corn:
– You start with one kernel
– First plant it properly in the fertile soil
– Aerate the soil
– Water the plant
– Fertilize the soil
– Take out the weeds
(patience is a great virtue)
• When the plant grows, you don't leave it alone. (you must always be
supporting and protecting your tree from negative vibes)
• When a plant matures, then from one kernel, you have an entire field.
(duplication)
• People fail because they only want to reap the benefits, but are not willing
to go through the difficulties and effort. You must pay the price to get
there! You must make sacrifices. Sacrifice entertainment, recreation, etc...
• This is a get-rich sure, not get rich quick scheme.
Reason #5: They have no focus
• All successful people are focused
– Like anyone wanting to learn a musical instrument- focus!
– The first rule of warfare is to focus your strength.
– Examples:
• Levi Strauss- focused only on jeans
• Kodak- focused only on film
• Tiger Woods- focused only on golf
• Don't become a jack of all trades but a master in
nothing
• It’s your choice whether you want to focus on GMI, but
if you want to succeed in anything, you must focus.
Reason #6: They don't know how to
present the business
• All successful people in GMI know how to make a
presentation.
• If you know how to present, you can take your
business anywhere and expand at your own rate.
• Imagine having 5,000 down-lines and only you
can present!
• How can you teach to present if you don't know
how to?
• Nurture and teach your people.
Reason #7: They don't look at the
future
• People who fail only see today.
• If you want to be successful in anything, you
must look into the future.
• Your financial future in this business depends
on what you do or do not do in the next few
months.
• 5 years will come whether you plan for it or
not- the future is staring you in the face!
Reason #8: They have no vision
• Everything starts with a vision. Without vision, people perish
• Brick-layers example
– First guy: “I'm doing what my boss told me”
– Second guy: “I'm just earning a living”
– Third guy: “I'm building a cathedral!”
• When you have a vision, you don't take things lightly, you're willing
to pay the price.
• Without a vision, how are you going to accomplish something?
• Many people never hit the target in life simply because they don't
know where the target is. If I'm an arrow, do I know which target
I'm trying to hit?
• Your vision will be your leader.
• When you have a vision, people follow.
