The Disadvantages of Playing Truant

You may have heard of students playing truant. It may sound exciting to be out of
school when all your friends are studying hard, but there are more disadvantages to it.
Firstly, you will definitely get into trouble if you are caught. You may get
suspended and miss more lessons. Worse, you may be grounded by your parents
for your misbehaviour and that can affect your social life and after-school activities too.
Secondly, missing school is not fun. You will not be able to complete your
homework well and may not be able to follow the lessons in class. Your friends may
not be happy helping you too if they find out you missed school intentionally.
Thirdly, playing truant may lead to social ills. Students who play truant are
exposed to other social problems such as smoking, stealing and loitering at shopping
malls to pass the time.
So, stay in school and work smart for your future.
