NC– Drill mistakenly made undersize (Observed 16.20 mm
against 19.20 mm) because of wrong drill size.

Action Taken– Drilling operation done again with the right

drill size.

Result – Product OKas per original drawing/ standard i.e

19.20 mm. Thus, Rework

Repair Example
NC– Nut not properly welded, cameout

Action Taken- Two additional weldingjoint

Result - In drawing / standard - only two welding points

required, but we end-up having four joints. Here, no
issue in the usage (intended use). Thus, called Repair
NC- Drilling of a hole in the wrong place

Action Taken- Drilling of hole in the right placewhile

plugging the hole in the wrongplace.

Result - Extra plugging hole NOT as per standard /

drawings. Although, product can be used. Thus, Repair
