Peru , is an extremely biodiverse

country with habitats ranging from

the arid plains of the Pacific coastal
region in the west to the peaks of the
Andes mountains vertically extending
from the north to the southeast of the
country to the tropical Amazon Basin
rainforest in the east with the
Amazon river.
 Climate

Peru, unlike other countries

in the Equatorial area, does not
have an exclusive tropical
climate. The influence of the
Andes and Humboldt currents
is the cause of a great climate
diversity with in the country.
 Machu Picchu is a 15th-
century Inca citadel situated on a
mountain ridge 2,430 metres
above sea level. It is located in
the Cusco Region, Urubamba
Province, MachuPicchu District
in Peru, above the Sacred Valley,
which is 80 kilometres northwest
of Cuzco and through which the
Urubamba River flows.
