Definition statistics

Statistics are a set of data, either

quantitative or qualitative. Quantitative
data in the form of numbers, while
qualitative data is not a numbers.
1. Histogram
Histogramis a graph of the
frequency distribution of one
variable.
• Pie chart is a circle
divided into several
sector.
• Poligon is a graph of
frequancy distributions
classified as one
variable.
• Ogive is a graph illustrated
based on data that has been
complied in the form of
cumulative frequency
distribution table.
• Stem and leaf are the
same as histograms,
except that the
information obtained is
better because steam
and leaf show the values
of the original
observation.
• Median

• Mean

X = mean
Fi = class data frequency
Xi = midpoint of class i

• LO = lower bound of median class

• fkii = the cumulative frequency of data
under the median class
• fi = frequency of data in the median class
• i = length of class
• Mode
• Quartil

• Qi= i-th quartile

• i = i-th (1,2,3)
• n = number of data

• b = the lower bound of the class with

the highest frequency
• b1 = the most frequency minus the
previous class
• Qi = i-th quartile
• b2 = the most frequency minus the • Li = lower bound of i-th quartile class
frequency of class after the mode class • Fi = number of frequencies before class i quartile
• i = interval of mode class • C = long class
• n = number of data
• fi = frequency of i-th quartile class
• i = i-th (1,2,3)
• Decile
