Policy
these services and organisations rendering these services are known as regulatory
policies.
The objective of regulatory policy is to ensure that regulations are in the public
interest.
It addresses the permanent need to ensure that regulations and regulatory
frameworks are justified, of good quality and “fit for purpose”.
An integral part of effective public governance, regulatory policy helps to shape
the relationship between the state, citizens and businesses.
An effective regulatory policy supports economic development and the rule of
law, helping policy makers to reach informed decisions about what to regulate,
whom to regulate, and how to regulate.
