Emergency Response Organizations
Emergency Coordinating Center (ECC)- is a structured group of
whose function is to control an emergency or disaster.
Functions of ECC
1. Determine courses of actions to take regarding fire,
earthquake, bomb threat civil strife, typhoon etc.
2. Determine if it will be necessary to request for assistance
from outside agencies
3. Decision to terminate or evacuate facility
4. Issue an all clear alarm and return to work signal;
5. Chairman to address the press regarding
emergency

trained in handling, control and in disposal of hazardous materials

-This function is usually performed by the Facility Supervisor whose
responsibilities are

-This function is usually perform by an assigned pollution or
environmental control officer whose responsibilities include providing
environmental monitoring and spill containment and recovery
procedures to the Chairman of ECC.

6. Medical/First Aid Team
-This function is perform by medical practitioners, nurses and first
aiders who are trained in industrial medicine and basic life support,
Their duties are:
a. To establish an on site emergency medical center
b. To advise the Chairman of the ECC of the number of injured and any
other needs for additional medical assistance from outside
agencies
c. To notify appropriate hospitals and clinics for emergency treatment
of the injured, to include special medical transportation needs, and
d. To keep records of victims and their treatment
