• Shelter Design are culturally appropriate for all occupants including
PLWDs.
• Separate places are provided for different gender,
• Shelters partitions are provided for privacy for different gender.
(sleeping, change of clothes, MHM).
• In collective center at risk group have collective space.


Access
• Access to impartial assistance.
• Selection criteria is informed by gender and diversity analysis.
Migrants, renters receive support.
• Land issues identified and followed up. Specially the landless people.
• Technical support and follow ups are provided for the at-risk groups.
• Barriers identified and removed to provide access to PLWDs, following
reach, enter, use and circulate principle. Refer to minimum standards.
Universal shelter design.

Participation
• Awareness on rights of different groups.
• Consultation at every stage of PCM.. CEA.
• Community engagement in shelter and infrastructure construction
process.
• Gender-Balanced assessment team.
Safety
• Shelter is safe and durable.
• Shelter is secure with locks and enough lightening is provided.
• Shelter is located in a place where people face safe.
• Is not overcrowded and as safe access to fire wood, latrine and
bathing facilities.
Also consider SGBV issues. Identify org who are expert in SGBV issues.
