    Classroom News

    What We Will Learn:


    This week we will continue our work with our Language Arts unit’s Essential
    Question - “Why do people trade with each other?” Our phonics skill for the week
    will be the diphthong /oo/ which has both a long vowel and a short vowel sound,
    like in moon or book.

    We will be finishing up with Module 4. This module focuses on place value,


    comparison, and addition/subtraction to 40. We will be continuing our work with
    our unit in Writer’s Workshop which asks students to write realistic fiction,
    developing characters, and creating problems and solutions.

    Homework:
    Please note that on Wednesday we will be working with Module 6.
    Monday: Home Reading and Module 4 Lesson 27 p. 111 - 112
    Tuesday: Home Reading and Module 4 Lesson 28 p. 115 - 116
    Wednesday: Home Reading and Module 6 Lesson 6 p. 199 - 200
    Thursday: Home Reading only
    Friday: Home Reading

    May 17th – Minimum Day went home today. Please review it
