    Classroom News

    What We Will Learn:


    This week we will continue our work with our Language Arts unit’s Essential
    Question - “Why do people trade with each other?” Our phonics skill for the week
    will be the diphthong /oi/ which can be spelled as “oi” or “oy” as in coin or boy.

    We will be continuing our work with Module 4. This module focuses on place value,
    comparison, and addition/subtraction to 40. We will be continuing our work with a
    new unit in Writer’s Workshop which asks students to write realistic fiction,
    developing characters, and creating problems and solutions.

    Homework:
    Monday: Home Reading and Module 4 Lesson 21 p. 87 - 88
    Tuesday: Home Reading and Module 4 Lesson 23 p. 95 - 96
    Wednesday: Home Reading and Module 4 Lesson 24 p. 99 – 100
    Thursday: Home Reading only and Module 4 Lesson 26 p. 107 - 108
    Friday: Home Reading
