Reading: We will continue using our reading series and

working in small groups. Our comprehension strategy will
be summarize, our comprehension skill will be problem
and solution, and our vocabulary strategy will be
paragraph clues. We will be reading different stories and
discussing How do we use money? Our genre this
week is expository text.
High frequency words: against, anymore, complete,
enough, river, rough, sometimes, stranger, terrible,
window
Vocabulary words (tested): invented made something
new, money dollars and cents you use to buy things,
prices how much you have to pay to buy things,
purchase get something by paying money, record
facts written down about something, system plan or set
of rules for doing something, value how much
something is worth, worth how much money something
costs
Language Arts: This week we will discuss adverbs.
Theme: We are so excited to go to Callaway to see the
beautiful butterflies! We will continue to watch our own
caterpillars grow and change into beautiful butterflies.
Math: This week we will study fractions. We will focus on
equal parts of a whole, describing equal parts, and
problem solving with equal parts.

Registration for 2015-2016

Online renewal registration for the upcoming 2015-2016 school year
should be completed by May 1.
Please follow the instructions in the email sent to you to complete the
Returning Student Registration. The email will include a link that you
must click to proceed with online registration. In addition, you must
upload 2 residency documents (lease, mortgage or property tax statement
AND a current utility bill that is not DELINQUENT). Cell phone
bills/statements are not accepted as a utility bill. New residency
documents must be submitted every year.
