homework:
Reading Comprehension: Written response
questions suggestions:
Tell how ________acts. What did you learn from what
he or she did? Use part of the story in your answer.
What are some words from the story that show how
the character is feeling?
Reading: We will begin a unit on fairy tales. We will
be comparing and contrasting the experiences and
adventures of the characters in these stories.
Writing: We will begin with writing narratives and
then we will work on informational writing.
Math:
Adding and subtracting within 100, including adding
a two digit number and a one digit number and
adding a two digit number and a multiple of 10. We
will be using concrete models or drawings and
strategies based on place value, properties of
operations, and / or the relationship between
addition and subtraction; relating the strategy to a
written method and explaining the reasoning used.
