Miss Albrights Classroom News April 25, 2014

Reminders
Career Day is Thursday, May 8 . Please see the flyer that was sent home yesterday. Muffins with Mom will be on Friday, th May 9 at 8:00 AM. We will also take a walking field trip to the Auburn Public Library on th Friday, May 9 . Please return field trip permission forms ASAP. We will have an end of the year kindergarten program and picnic on th May 19 . The program will begin at 9:45 and we will have a picnic lunch in the courtyard following the program.

What Were Learning


Reading: This week we will learn about long e. We will read and write words that follow the e_e, ee, and ea spelling patterns. We will continue to practice reading and writing words with other long vowels. Language Arts: We are continuing to learn about pronouns. We are also working on different forms of writing. This week we are focusing on writing opinion pieces. Math: We are beginning to learn about time. We will practice telling time to the hour on an analog clock. Science: This week we will learn about magnets. We will test various classroom objects to determine whether or not they are magnetic.
