Announcements:

We will have a P.T.O.

meeting Monday, March 9th
at 6:00. The book fair will be
open after the meeting.
Tuesday, March 10th is
restaurant night at
McAllisters.
March 9-13 is the spring book
fair. Our class will visit the
book fair on Tuesday and
Wednesday.
The first grade book fair
luncheon will be on
Wednesday, March 11th at
10:45.
First grade will take a field
trip to the Southern Union
Health Expo on March 17th.
More information will be
sent home soon.
Spring Break will be March
23-27 .

Star Student
Our STAR student for February
23-27 Ella Koppel for
demonstrating trustworthiness.
Next weeks character trait is
encouraging.

A Peek at Our Week

Reading/Language Arts: Our phonics skill for
this week is ou/ow. Our comprehension skill is
problem and solution. In grammar we are
reviewing adjectives. We are also reviewing
capitalization and underlining titles.
Math: This week we are learning how to tell
time. We are also reviewing measurement,
addition, and subtraction.
Science: We are continuing our study of
weather.

Sight Words: color, nothing, oh, instead,

thought, early
Vocabulary Words: distract, nervous, senses,
squeaky, volume, scrambled, suddenly
