AR Pirate Day is Friday,
September 18th. More
information to follow.
DRES/WMR Spirit Night is
also Friday, September 18th at
AHS.
Fall Picture Day will be on
Thursday, September 24th.
DRES restaurant night at
McAllisters is Tuesday,
October 6th.
Parent conference day is
Thursday, October 15th.
Fall break is October 15th -16th.
There is no school for
students on these days.

A Peek at Our Week

Reading/Language Arts: This week we will be
on unit one, week five in our Wonders reading
series. Our phonics skills for this week are rblends and s-blends. Our spelling words for this
week will include words with r-blends and sblends. Our reading comprehension skill is
finding key details. In writing we will focus on
forming complete sentences using correct
capitalization and ending punctuation marks.
Math: This week we are continuing
subtraction with numbers 0-10. We are
reviewing addition facts as well.
Social Studies: We are comparing and
contrasting the past and the present.
