Reminders
Please remember to sign your childs behavior chart every night. Your child must have been on green or above for 80% of the time to attend the school wide behavior party in October. The Rocket Run pep rally is Friday September 27th at 1:30 P.M. Parents are welcome to attend. The Grandparents Day breakfast is September 27th at 7:15. Please R.S.V.P. if you are planning to attend. The 2013 Rocket Run is October 4th. More information will be sent home soon.

What Were Learning

Reading: This week we will practice writing the letter A and reading words with the short a (apple, alligator, etc.) sound. We will continue to review the letter M that we learned last week. We are also learning how to ask and answer questions about the stories we read. Math: This week we will begin basic addition and subtraction with the numbers 1-10. We will also review counting and ordering numbers. Language Arts: For the next two weeks we will learn about nouns. We are also learning when to use capital and lowercase letters in our writing. Social Studies: This week we will learn about apples. We will celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day on Thursday, September 26th.

Homework: Please continue working on the homework calendar. Please return the September calendar and notebook on Monday, September 30th.
