Dear First Grade Families, Welcome to First Grade! We hope you had a wonderful summer break and are so glad to be your childs new teacher! Each week you will receive this newsletter which contains what we are learning about, important dates, spelling words, and homework. However, since this is our first week and Labor Day will shorten next week, we are going to combine this week and next weeks newsletters into this one. Students are to complete worksheets for homework this week. Starting next week students are to complete their daily homework in a spiral notebook, unless stated otherwise. This notebook will be checked and returned each day. They will take a test on the words every Friday. If you have not done so already, please send in all supplies and lunch forms as soon as possible. We look forward to working with you all this year! Please contact us if you have any questions! Thank you, Ms. Everett and Ms. Keepers
