Reminders
Please remember to sign your childs behavior chart every night. Your child must have been on green or above for 80% of the time to attend the school wide behavior party. Our first kindergarten family night will be on October 8th from 5:30-6:30 P.M. This will be a great opportunity for your child to show you what we are learning in class. The 2013 Rocket Run is October 4th. More details will be sent home soon. Our next All Pro Dads event will be Friday, October 11th.

What Were Learning

Reading: This week we will practice writing uppercase and lowercase S. We will also learn the /s/ sound and read words with the letter s. We will continue to review the letters A and M. Math: On Monday we will have our third Zero the Hero celebration. We will also continue basic addition and subtraction with the numbers 1-10. Language Arts: We are continuing to learn about nouns. We are also learning when to use capital and lowercase letters in our writing. Social Studies: This week we will continue to learn about apples. On Friday we will make homemade applesauce to conclude this unit of study. Also, please check out the class blog to see pictures from our community helpers unit.

Homework: Please return the September calendar and notebook on Monday. I will return the notebook with a new calendar on Tuesday.
