PROBLEM STATEMENT

The consumption of millet has decreased in the past three

decades. The processing of sorghum is laborious and time
consuming. Better technology will help in promoting the
demand as well as the value addition.
RESEARCH QUESTIONS:

•Why is there a decline in consumption of sorghum?

•What are the technologies that are used for the value added
sorghum products?

•Are the existing technologies effective?

•What are the ways to overcome the technological gaps?

OBJECTIVES:

•To study the value addition of sorghum

•To identify the reason for declining consumption

•To estimate the efficiency of the technologies used in the

sorghum processing

•To suggest the ways to overcome the gaps in technology

HYPOTHESIS:

Decline in the consumption of sorghum is due to the

technological gaps.

The existing technology for sorghum processing is

ineffective
