Parents and students are bound by the
conventional ideas of education
● You must succeed in high levels of
education in order to be successful
○ Higher wages
○ Better health
○ Job security
○ Interesting Work
The Main ISsue

Students are unable to expand beyond the


conventional ideas of education
Problems arising from these ideas

- Children who don’t mesh well with the


traditional system are restricted by it
negatively.
- Children who do not have a passion for
education lack motivation to succeed.
The truth

● Success in school does not always lead to success in


one's future and vise versa
● Some of the world’s wealthiest and most successful
people never graduated from college

○ Women are proven to have higher grades,


enrollment in AP courses, and higher degrees
○ But women are shown to have less chance of
being in higher job positions

○ Race plays a huge role in the success of some


○ Studies show two men can have the same exact
success in education, but the race determines the
future success
○ With racism being a prevalent issue today, this
leads to troubles in the education system and the
workforce
Unemployed Perspective

- The stereotypes of people who are unemployed come


with a negative connotation.
- Studies show that unemployed people defy the
common stereotype.
Solution

Starting at a young age, schools, parents,


and peers should let youth know
that there are different options
that lead to success.
LImitations

● Non-accepting members of society


● Stubborn Parents/Enforcing Guardians
● Lack of knowledge about new paths
● Jobs not changing their mindsets
How to solve this issue

● Be open to new ideas!


● Enforce new ideas starting at a
young age
● Follow the path you enjoy
● Set your own standards of success
