 Erik buell designed that two products with an
electric motorcycle called Flow
 Another electric bicycle called Fluid
 Both these bicycle will be launched first in
US,sometimes later in 2019
 It has the Hub-mounted electric motor
 The wheel hub motor is an electric motor that is
incorporated into the hub of a wheel and drives
it directly
 And it has Side mounted rear shock
 They create a single-sided suspension system
 The shock was mounted to one side of
bike,rather than in centre
 The driveshaft ran down the inside of the
single-sided swingarm and into the rear drive.
 The flow will available in two variants one
with 11kw (around 15bhp) and other with 35
kw (around 47bhp) on tap.
 The former has an output comparable to 150-
200cc while the latter can range between 350-
400cc with the power outputs of 15 HP and 47
HP respectively.
 The single-sided swingarm in the Flow
accommodates the electric motor that further
eliminates the use of chain for making way for
larger storage space
 The hub-mounted motor allows for an internal
storage compartment boasting of nearly 60
litres of storage.
 The flow also offers smartphone connectivity
 It will take charging less than 30 minutes
 That will be available with two powerful
batteries combining to a total of 980Wh.
 The dual batteries offer the bicycle a range of
200 km
 The flow will be sold in US with a price tag of
$10,995 (around 7.7 lakh approx)
 And the fluid bicycle will be sold with price of
$3,295(around 2.3 lakh)
 The fluid has a charging time of 30 mins and
will be available in two version-one with a top
speed of 32kmph and other claimed top speed
of 45kmph
Merits :
No need of fuel
Very less maintenance as compared to
combustion engine
Instant torque at any point of time so blistering
pick up speed
De-merits:
Possibly higher initial cost
Short range and slow reflueing compared to
gasoline
