 It’s a traditional newspaper but as the target audience has moved
to digital platforms so therefore the print reader totals have
decreased.
Daily Mail  The daily mail has created a website so that its articles could be
reached globally.
Online
 Not only a website has been created but an app to become easily
accessible for readers on the go.
 There is a feature on a social media chatting app called snapchat
that allows for daily mail articles to be posted on there.
 The DMGT manages an array of different multinational companies
with revenues of £1.9billion. All providing news, entertainment
and information to the world.

The executive  The consumers of this company was originally just UK based,
being the most successful newspaper companies, slowly has
committee of become a worldwide franchise with audiences globally.

the DTMG  The committee realised that digital technology has become more
advanced and that their consumers were moving to internet
platforms to catch up on their newspapers. Therefore, the Daily
mail branched to online sources to reach a wider audience called
the mail online.
 The Daily Mail is the second biggest selling daily newspaper after The Sun. Mail
Online is a division of DMG Media which is part of Associated Newspapers Ltd. It
was launched in 2003.
 In 2006 the mail online was made into a separately managed site edited by Martin
Clarke and managed by James Bromley.
 Its become the most visited English language online news website in the world
with over 11.34million readers daily in august 2014.
 It has an international readership from the UK, US, India and Australia. Despite the
conservative views in the articles, there is certain content which is only featured in
the mail online and not in the daily mail print newspapers.

Daily Mail  The mail online has an infamous sidebar where celebrity gossip content is posted
but is not included on print versions.

Online  The website reached 199.4 million unique monthly visitors in December 2014, up
from 189.52 million in January 2014 and 128.59 million in May 2013. Globally the
site was forecast to reach £60m in advertising sales in the year to September 2014,
up 49%. £35m has been invested in creating the site. The site has introduced
sponsored articles, with a guarantee of 450,000 page views at a cost of £65,000 per
article.
 Mail Online features a broad mixture of international news, and carries mainly UK
focused coverage of sport, personal finance, travel, celebrity news, science and
lifestyle editorial. As of September 2014, it employs 615 people, including 406
editorial staff. They create over 750 articles per day, the editorial stance of which
broadly reflects that of the Daily Mail, being to the right wing of mainstream
British politics and typically supporting the UK Conservative Party.
 On the top of the website, it shows the audience the time and the
weather forecast at that specific time. It also shows the date. The
banner shows promotes the new Daily Mail TV show by Jesse
Palmer on their website to attract their target audience into
watching the TV series.
 The daily mail website fills its whole page with a range of different
stories that they have published. Their main big stories are placed

content are on the side to target audiences that are interested in the news
that they have published.
 On the right side of the website, there are quick links where the
audience are able to click on to share news on the daily mail
website. The daily mail has many advertisement which makes the
website look full.

TV and breaking news.

 The Guardian is a British daily newspaper. It was known from 1821
until 1959 as The Manchester Guardian. Along with its sister
papers, The Observer which is printed on Sundays only when
the Guardian is not.
 The Guardian is part of the Guardian Media Group, owned by
the Scott Trust. The Trust was created in 1936 "to secure the
financial and editorial independence of the Guardian.
THE  This means the content of the paper is not influenced by
GUARDIAN owners who may have their own political agender to put forward.
 Guardian in 2014 was 5th most widely spread newspaper with
ONLINE online editions with over 42.6million readers.
 Unlike other newspapers the Guardian website is free to access
globally.

 The intention is that advertising will cover the cost of this free
service however in recent difficult times advertising is harder
to come by and they ask readers for a voluntary contribution to
help cover the cost.
 Guardian is available to read in many different ways. Such as Print,
The Guardian Pc, Mobile Smartphone(through the app), Tablet, Facebook and
twitter.
Online  The guardian has 4,541,000 readers a day across all its platforms,
statistics. with over 2million reading on their PC and across social medias

like on facebook, meaning that their news on socials is very widely
circulated. Social media pages allow people to join in globally and
share their own news. Also is free advertising for the Guardian. The

Guardian had created an account 2 years before The Daily Mail
did. They have now accumulated as of 2019, 1.7m followers
