1. The Meaning of descriptive Text

• Descriptive text is a text that describes or

describes people, animals or objects in terms
of their shape, characteristics, number.
2. Structure of Descriptive Text
The structure of descriptive text is as follows:

A. Identification: introduction to the object or thing that will be described.

B. Description: informing the characteristics of objects, such as
psychological characteristics of behavior, physical appearance, and
others specifically.
3. Linguistic element.
Descriptive text usually uses linguistic elements as follows:

A. Noun: specific nouns, for example my best friend, my dog, Borobudur Temple, etc. In addition,
sometimes also use nouns that get adjectives, for example an intelligent student and a big garden.
B. Simple present tense: uses the first form verb (verb1) and also the verb that can describe the state
of the object or implies ownership, for example my house has 2 living rooms, Sinta is beautiful,
and others.
C. Adjective: adjectives used to describe objects.
D. Figurative language: uses figurative languages ​such as simile or metaphor as a way to provide
illustrative comparisons, for example: My throat is as dry as a dessert (my throat fuses desert).

Text
 The Purpose :
Descriptive text is, is to describe everything that is human, animal, plant or
inanimate object with the properties attached to it such as size, type, color,
etc. so that the reader or reader can know what something is from the picture
that we convey even though he has never seen it.

Describe about : Borobudur Temple, Wakatobi island, Monas National
Monument.
