Parish Youth Ministry


Depinisyon ng Parokya
• Nagmula sa salitang griego na “Paroikia”
“oikia” – mgabahay (houses)
“para” – paligid (around)

• Pinakamalapit na pagsalin sa ingles: neighborhood


- “a definite community of Christian faithful established
on a stable basis within a particular church; entrusted
to a pastor as its own shepherd under the authority of
a diocesan bishop.” [Canon 515,1]

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• PYC/ AYC – Overall overseer of activities
• Secretary – Take down minutes of meetings, Planner,
Archives Project (in cooperation with iSUPPORT), Venue
reservation, Update directory, send GMs for notices
• Treasurer – Money logbook, personalized receipt, Bank
account (signatory: priest and coordinator , or priest and
secretary)
• Logistics – Reservation of equipments, buying of materials,
sound system (close coordination with Kuya Boy)
• Graphic artist – Poster making (may ask help from
iSUPPORT)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PROGRAM HEADS
• iPRAY – provide spiritual formation activities,
retreats/ recollection, Mass team
• iSHARE – talents development
a. Animators – create original animations
b. Music Team – researches repertoire and studies
appropriate songs
• iSUPPORT – documentation (photo and video) and
ministry promotions, bulletin board, FB like page

PROTOCOLS/ BY-LAWS
1. If you are a member of a particular program
and you have a CONCERN:
Step 1: Forward concern to Program Head
Step 2: Program Head meets his/her members
to resolve concern of particular member
Step 3: Resolution of concern is made by the
team.
Step 4: If remains unresolved, resolution is
consulted to PYC/AYC/Adviser/Parish Priest.

2. You wish to suggest an activity for the ministry.
Step 1: Create a draft proposal. All important
details must be stated, otherwise, rejected/ not
entertained. (See Proposal Template in groups)
Step 2: Upload copy in CORE group for
everyone’s reference.
Step 3: Proposal of concerned member shall be
discussed by CORE and Adviser.
Step 4: Upon approval of draft proposal, it is
forwarded to the Parish Priest for checking.
Step 5: If approval is given, implementation
follows.

3. ALL MINISTRY MATTERS AND CONCERNS ARE
DISCUSSED PRIVATELY EITHER IN THE FB
CORE GROUP OR DURING FACE-TO-FACE
REGULAR CORE GROUP MEETINGS. All
announcements posted in the public group
are considered official and have been
disclosed to the body, and/or courtesy of the
PYC/AYC/Adviser.

EXPECTATIONS
1. You perform your function, and you perform it
diligently and well.
2. You make sure that your team grows from your
leadership. Make your activities creative. You
research and study your function to make your work
more beautiful and effective.
3. AYOKO NG PAASA.  Once you have accepted the
task given to you, I am expecting an excellent output.
