Bulacan on the Implementation
of K to 12 Curriculum
CHAPTER 1
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
INTRODUCTION
- K to 12 (also K-12) is an education system under the Department of
Education that aims to enhance learners’ basic skills, produce more
competent citizens, and prepare graduates for lifelong learning and
employment.
- “K” stands for Kindergarten and “12” refers to the succeeding 12 years of
basic education.
- The new curriculum gives students the chance to choose among three
tracks (i.e. Academic; Technical-Vocational-Livelihood; and Sports and Arts)
and undergo immersion, which provides relevant exposure and actual
experience in their chosen track.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
OBJECTIVES
This study aims to know the satisfactory level of the senior high school students
in Malolos, Bulacan. It focuses on the factors that affect the satisfactory levels
of the students. Those factors are the teacher factor, facilities, and the
textbooks.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM


This study will seek answers on, “ Are the Senior High School Students of
Malolos, Bulacan satisfied on the implementation of the K to 12 Curriculum
in terms of :
• Teacher Factor
• Facilities
• Textbooks

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The researchers conducted the study to know the satisfactory level of the senior
high school students on the implemented K to 12 curriculum.
This study can be beneficial to the following:
• For the Teachers. The rating of the satisfactory level of the students will help on
the further improvement of their teaching based on the curriculum.
• For the School Administrator. As high authorities, they are expected to have high
standards when it comes to the quality of education. This research will help them
know what the perception of the students when it comes to the education they
are having.
• For the Parents. This will help them know if their children acquire the quality they
want them to have. The satisfaction of the students will reflect on the satisfaction
of the parents too.
• For the Researchers. This study can be utilized as reference and basis for the
upcoming researchers who would wish to conduct research related to this study.
CHAPTER 2
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

• The researchers are inclined to know the satisfactory level of the senior high school students
in Malolos, Bulacan. The design of the research is descriptive. Descriptive design of
research seeks for new truth. It supplies further development of instruments for other focus
of studies. To quantify the data that will be gathered in this study, the quantitative method
of research will be used.
• Surveys are used as instrument for collecting data; rating survey questionnaire will be
conducted to supply the needs of this research. The research has three variables that will
be the basis of the respondents. These variables help in determining what is being studied
in the research.
• The major tool for gathering the data online survey constructed and the survey technique
is the questionnaire itself.

DISCUSSION
DISCUSSION
This chapter presents the analysis and interpretation of the data gathered. The researchers used
the ordinal scale as follows: 5 for very satisfied, 4 for satisfied, 3 for okay, 2 for dissatisfied, 1 for strongly
dissatisfied.

•Uses visuals as instrument in teaching.
Most teachers use visual, powerpoint presentation as

their instruments in teaching. This helps the students to
understand the topic more. Based on the result, 2 out of 50 4 20

means that not all teachers prefer having visuals in

Facilities

•Facilities are well maintained.
Improving the quality of school facilities is 4 19

CONCLUSION

Based on the result of the study, the researchers conclude that the Senior
High School students of Malolos, Bulacan are satisfied on the
implementation K -12 curriculum in terms of teacher factor, facilities and
textbooks. It gives a higher quality of education, and
suitably prepare those who want to go on to higher education, wherein it a
dvances them to be globally competitive. The researchers conclude that
the satisfaction rate of the shs students has a significant relationship on the
variables.
