Are Filipino experiencing ‘wildfire’ pollution on

everyday?

In this article made by Atty. Karen V. Jimeno, one of our reactions is that
wildfire are not that really serious threat to the Philippines, the main
problem is the air pollution in which the article stated that WHO(World
Health Organization) of 2018 report found that the Philippines is marked
third in the world as having the most number of deaths due to air
pollution. Air pollution is caused by the particulate matter in the air in
which when the size is 2.5 micrometers and below.
One of the causes of air pollution is smoke belchers, forest fires, and
factories that produces large amount of smoke and it affects the respiratory
and cardiovascular system of one’s person. In this case it leads to health
problems like pulmonary disease, lung cancer, pneumonia, heart disease, and
stroke.
We believe that this article is strongly recommended for students,
teenagers, youths, and citizens of our country. We should have care on our
environment. Many filipinos are having pulmonary diseases because of air
pollution. It needs a quick solution in these problems like, proper and daily
check-up of vehicles, reduce or eliminate fireplace and wood stove use, avoid
burning leaves, trashes.
We strongly recommended to spread the information about air pollution
because we want to inform our society about the bad effects of it.
