PRESENTED BY :-

BBA-
INTRODUCTION

 Deforestation is the permanent destruction

of forests in order to make the land
available for other uses.
 The term does not include the removal of
industrial forests such as plantations. It has
resulted in the reduction of indigenous
forests to 4/5 of their pre-agricultural area.
CAUSES
To make more land available for housing and urbanization
To harvest timber to create commercial items such as paper,
furniture and homes
To create room for cattle ranching
To create ingredients that are highly prized consumer items,
such as the oil from palm trees
EFFECTS
– Loss of Habitat
Seventy percent of Earths’ land animals and
plants live in forests, and many cannot survive
the deforestation that destroys their homes
– Increased Greenhouse Gases
The lack of trees also allows a greater amount of
greenhouse gases to be released into the
atmosphere.
– Water in the Atmosphere
The trees also help control the level of water in
the atmosphere by helping to regulate the water
cycle.
SOLUTIONS
PLANT A TREE.
GO PAPERLESS.
RECYCLE AND BUY RECYCLED PRODUCTS.
THE BEST SOLUTION TO DEFORESTATION IS TO
CURB THE FELLING OF TREES, BY EMPLOYING A
SERIES OF RULES AND LAWS TO GOVERN IT. ...
CONCLUSION
Thus, deforestation is an important issue to be
discussed. It has adverse effects on each living
beings' life. Deforestation has become a huge
concern in today's life as there has been a rise in
the decline of forests. Trees are cut down in
order to manufacture paper products as well as
for livestock farming and so on.
