EXPANSION CARD

EXPANSION CARD is also known as an interface adapter or an

expansion card which is considered as an electronic board added in a
desktop computer so it could give a computer a new ability.

List of expansion cards that could be installed in an

available expansion slot.

In this Example, we will install a Network Interface card on the motherboard slot.
All expansion cards like video card, sound card Network Interface card and
others are easy to install. Just make sure you attach it on its compatible slots.
For Example, AGP video card need to be installed in AGP slot. It is easy
because AGP would not fit on PCI or PCIE slot, LAN card cannot fit AGP slot so
you will not be mistaken. What is important is you know to identify a slot, what
its function and what card will fit it.
Position the card interface into the motherboard, making sure it will fit the slot.
Push down the card using your fingers then screw it on the system casing.
Make sure it fit correctly and the plate of the card should rest on the case
support.
