 LOCATION: On our school ground.
 WHAT CAUSED THE WEATHERING:
Because of the gutter, the sudden splash of the
water makes the rock weaker.
 WHAT EFFECT HAS IT HAD: As time goes by,
holes are starting of being formed.
 LOCATION: Stone near a Piddock Shell.
 WHAT CAUSED THE WEATHERING: In order
for the Piddock Shell o protect itself from the
predators, it drills the rock and eat the minerals
found in it.
 WHAT EFFECT HAS IT HAD: Rock formed
cracked and small holes.
 LOCATION:
 WHAT CAUSED THE WEATHERING: The
presence of Lichens.
 WHAT EFFECTS HAS IT HAD: The rock then
becomes rougher and has change it’s color.
 LOCATION:
 WHAT CAUSED THE WEATHERING: The tree
grows near the rock.
 WHAT EFFECT HAS IT HAD: As the tree
grows up, its roots will occupy the whole rock.
 LOCATION:
 WHAT CAUSED THE WEATHERING: The soil
under the tree was flown by the wind.
 WHAT EFFECT HAS IT HAD: It results to
erosion.
 LOCATION: A table on our school ground.
 WHAT CAUSED THE WEATHERING:
Exfoliation
 WHAT EFFECT HAS IT HAD: The outer layer
of the rock was removed.
