- Art that does not represent anything, but tries
to achieve effect using shape, color and line.
- Imagery which departs from representational
accuracy

m cubist style derived its name from the cube,

-The movement known as futurism began in


Italy in the early 1900’s.
- It emphasised speed, technology, youth,
violence and objects such as car, airplane and
industrial city.

-In this style, basic forms such as planes,


cones, sphere and cylinders all fit together
precisely and neatly in their appointed places.
-Mechanical parts such as crankshafts, cylinder
blocks and pistons are brightened only by the use
