PLANT SOIL MOISTURE TESTER

 Abstract
 A very simple and useful project of soil moisture
circuit.The circuit is using only four components and a
3v battery. The circuit will detect if there is water in
the soil of any plant and light up the LED . The
resistor R2 is a potentio meter to adjust the level on
which you want to make the LED on.

 Advantages
 Following are the advantages of Plant Moisture
sensor for soil :
 Watermark sensors and Transistors are very low in cost.
 Watermark sensors offer larger moisture reading range
from 0 to 200 cb or kpa.
 Offers accurate results.
 Disadvantages
 Following are the disadvantages of Plant Moisture
sensor for soil:
 It requires probe to be inserted in the soil. It requires
labor to collect the data and maintain the measurement
processes.
 The measured values depend on properties of various
materials. The correct interpretation and use of
moisture data is needed.
