INTRODUCTION :

• Most widely used collection

devices for particulates.
• Device that removes particles
from a flowing gaseous stream
(such as air) using the force of an
induced electrostatic charge.
• ESP can be operated at high
temperature and pressures, and
its power requirement is low.
OBJECTIVE :

• To achieve highly efficient filtration device.

• To collect particles from a flowing gaseous stream (such as air) using
the force of an induced electrostatic charge.
• To remove the pollutants from the surrounding air and make it cleaner.
• To achieve clean and neat atmosphere for present and future.

METHODOLOGY : ATTEMPT 1st:- High voltage generation using flyback transformer and MOSFET (P55nf)

Fig: Circuit diagram of MOSFET driver

Fig: 700V spark generation Fig: Actual photograph of circuit

Observations of this experiment are follows as: Resistors Vgs (in V) Vds (in V) Vid (in A) O/P ( in V)
100 ohms 4.48 4.34 0.16 -
220 ohms 4.38 4.42 0.12 500
320 ohms 4.32 4.27 0.11 700
420 ohms 4.29 4.28 0.9 400
1 kilo ohms 3.29 3.18 0.3 -
ATTEMPT 2nd:- High voltage generation using electronic ballast and flyback transformer

Fig: Circuit diagram of electronic ballast driver

Fig: 15000V spark generation Fig: Actual photograph of circuit

Observation: We obtained about 15 kilo voltage spark across high tension terminals. But the voltage
across secondary winding falls rapidly after short time of period of high voltage spark.
ATTEMPT 3rd:- High voltage generation using Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) flyback Driver.

The ZVS flyback driver is well-known throughout the high voltage community for its
simplicity and ability to deliver 20-50 kV at high currents for a flyback transformer.
Actual Circuit:

Conclusion:
Using ZVS Flyback driver and transformer we can generate about 25 – 30 KV using 12 V 10 Amp DC Power
Supply.

model
• The ESP is modelled in SOLIDWORKS .
• The material used for CASING is high pressure PVC.
• The material used for MESH is Mild steel.
• The material used for Collector plate is Aluminum.
CO2 PPM COUNTER:

• OLED Display –OLED (Organic Light

Emitting Diodes) is used to display the Fig:Circuit Diagram

calculated CO2 ppm value.

• Gas Sensor - We used the MQ135 gas
sensor to measure the concentration
of carbon dioxide in the air.
• Processor – Arduino Nano is used for
controlling the whole circuit.
