PANTAWID PAMILYANG PILIPINO
PROGRAM MEMBER BEFORE AND
AFTER THEIR MEMBERSHIP ”
CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
The Republic of the Philippines
implements an assistance fund called 4P’s
or Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.
It is a govern program that provides
conditional cash grants to the poorest of
the poor in the Philippines. The program
aims to break the cycles of poverty by
keeping children aged 0-18 healthy and
in school, so they can have a better
future.
PUROSE
The purpose of this study is to
determine the lifestyle of 4P’s
members before and after they became
4P’s member. This research also aims
to find out whether the Pantawid
Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4P’s
create a significant difference in the
lifestyle of the 4P’s member or not.
Statement Of The Problem
How may the profile of the respondent be describe in terms of:
1. Number of family members
2. Source of income
3. Year of being 4p’s member
Before he became a 4P’s member, how may the lifestyle of the respondent be
describe in terms of:
1. Gadgets and appliances
2. Credits / Debt
3. Study
4. Health
5. Food
After he became a 4P’s member, how may the lifestyle of the respondent be
describe in terms of:
1. Gadgets and appliances
2. Credit / Dept
3. Study
4. Health
5. Food
Is there any significant difference between the lifestyle of the respondent before
and after becoming a member of 4P’s?

KEY FINDINGS
In question number 5, saying “We are able to buy fast food”, 46 out of the 62
respondents or 74.19% of the respondents disagreed that they were able to buy fast
food before they became a member of 4P’s. On the other hand, 2 out of the 62
respondents or 2.17% of the respondents strongly disagreed.
In accordance with question number 6, saying “We are having credit/ debt.”, 20 out
of 62 or 32.26% of the respondents said that sometimes, they are having
credit/debt. 12 or 19.35% said that they always have credit/debt.
For question number 8, saying “We are able to buy medicines, when a member of
family is sick.”, 22 out of the 62 respondents or 35.48% said that sometimes, they
are able to buy medicines. Five (5) of the respondents or 8.06% said that they were
not able to buy medicines when a member of family is sick.
Recommendation
With all the conclusions, the researchers recommend the
following:
