◦ He deficient handling of the leachates generated in the site of final
disposal of solid waste from El Carrasco, located in the municipality
of Bucaramanga, is currently facing a problem with the disposal of
solid waste because the current disposal site has already
completed its life Useful.
◦ The trajectories of the groundwater flow in an aquifer are affected
by the spatial distribution of the hydraulic properties and the
structural discontinuities of the geological units.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
◦ To carry out the research, a study was carried out and it was identified that the site does
not have the groundwater monitoring network (EMAB, 2011), indispensable for the
protection of the resource and it is a requirement of the environmental regulations.
◦ A discretized modeling mesh was used, the system of equations was solved
simultaneously for the passage of time (5 years), using the Modelmouse program with
which established the physicochemical and microbiological
RESULTS
◦ He results of the modeling developed in the MODFLOW environment
show an east-west flow in almost all layers; likewise, the flow
established by the recharge from the Santander massif, where
resistivity levels are very low

soundings in the sector of El Carrasco.
Results of the numerical model
◦ The results of the modeling, developed in the modflow model
environment, they show a flow in east-west direction, in almost all
layers; as well as the flow established by the recharge from the
Santander massif, where resistivity levels are very low, what which
evidences the following.
CONCLUSIONS
◦ In the concentrations of the parameters physical-chemical analyzed in the
water underground wells it is evident that some parameters are inside of the
ranges established by the standard; however, for arsenic they generate special
concern, since this can generate gradual poisoning in a lapse from 5 to 20
years that results in cancers of the skin, the bladder and the kidneys, among
others diseases.
