THE ORIGIN OF THE NAME

 Eraserheads is a Filipino rock band formed in 1989.

Consisting of Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, The four
formed a new group and called themselves
Eraserheads, taking inspiration from the film
Eraserhead by surrealist director David Lynch.

 Often described as the Philippines' own Beatles, the
Eraserheads brought their melodic guitar rock and
keen wit from Manila's underground scene and into
the mainstream.

triggering a wave of commercial acceptance for
alternative music.
 The band became disillusioned at how poorly they
remade other artists' songs so they began writing their
own. In 1990, the Eraserheads started performing at the
alternative hotbed Club Dredd, quickly establishing an
impressive fan base.

(born May 22, 1971) is a rock musician and
record producer in the Philippines. His first
name is often misspelled Raymond, Raymund,
or Raimond. The breadth of his projects has
made him one of the most well-respected
mainstays of the Philippine rock band scene
Marcus Antonius Corpuz Adoro (born
December 31, 1971) is a Filipino musician who
was the lead guitarist of the Eraserheads, a
Filipino alternative rock band in the 1990s.
Adoro only had a few contributions when it
came to songwriting. He would compose one
song per album, which were usually album
fillers, like "Punk Zappa" in the album, Circus,
and "Southsuperhiway" in the album, Natin99.
