construction, I then looked at making the barn for the farm yard. I then started to modify the front of the barn so that the door and window were put in place ready to come back to later. Through doing so it Added lines. created N-gons, which Maya finds hard to process, so to rectify this I then used the multi cut tool to remove those 5 sided shapes (pentagons) to get quads. (see lines highlighted.) From there I then curved the roof panel and added in edge loops to support the structure when smoothed. Here I also extruded the lip of the roof so that it over hangs from the barns frame. Here I also added extra edge loops just to strengthen the roof when it comes to smoothing and rendering the model. I then proceeded to add the supporting beams to the barn, to start with I made the base beams on the font. Then moved on to transferring beams onto the side and back of the barn. Adding further beams. Completed main barn, and then looked at creating the top tower of the barn using similar methods I used to create the front of the barn and the roof. Adding the beams. Mirrored the barn using the -1 in the X axis making sure the merge vertices is at its lowest (0.01) so that the form of the barn remains intact. Final barn outcome.
