1. DEFINITION
The word either in English used after verbs
that shaped the negative. This word is also used to
give consent to a negative opinion. Either can also
be used to show a choice of two options existing or
proposed two options. If you do not have a choice of
two proposed options, You can also use this
vocabulary. Either if encountered by the two options
then will be put together with the word ‘or’dit
In a sentence, there are four parts that can usually
use either, the fourth part it is as a pronoun (pronoun),
conjunction (connective word), adjective (adjective), and
adverb (adverb).
When used as a sentence adverbial, either have
the meaning ‘also’. However, either has a different
meaning used as a pronoun, conjuction and the adjective,
i.e. ‘one’ or ‘the other.’

 Used to combine two sentences that can come from


positive or negative sentences.
Example :
• He goes to the traditional market in

• She goes to the traditional market in

• We can combine them into:
• Either he or she goes to the traditional market
in Gadingrejo.

 Used to refer to one choice between two


possibilities, meaning that one must
choose.
Example :
• You can either leave me now or later,
i’ll get hurt anyway.
• Bobby, you either finish your homework
now or later, it’s your decision.
• I can play either guitar or ukulele.
• Dad thinks we either go to the beach or
the mountai for our next holiday.

 Used in a sentence nuanced positive, meaning


that it cloud be “one or the other, this or that, he
or she” and others, So :
Example:
• Either Maia or Luca writes the deposition that’s
due tomorrow in court (Maia and Luca alike a
single subject, so the verb used to conjugate to
be wrtes ).
• Either Maia or the other lawyers are going to
wrte the deposition that’s due tomorrow in
court ( The other lawyers is the subject plural,
so the verb conjugation used is are + going to )
