• real memory,conventional memory, or
DOS memorysystem
• 8086/8088
• 80286 and above
SEGMENT AND OFFSET
• CODE SEGMENT - part of memory from
bus interface unit (BIU) that is currently
fetching instruction code bytes.
• STACK SEGMENT- a section of memory
set aside to store addresses and data while
sub program executes.
• DATA AND EXTRA SEGMENT- for storing
data values to be used in program
