SCENARIO 1
a 40-year-old woman comes to the dentist's office and
complains that her mouth feels dry. extra oral examination
there is swelling in the area in front of the right ear and
pain when palpated. Intra oral examination showed oral
mucosa had a wound, dry mouth and there were many
caries. The doctor explained that there was a disruption in
the salivary gland of the patient which caused the patient
to suffer from sialodenitis. look for verses of the Qur'an
and hadiths that fit the case.

• Saliva is secreted around 0.5 to 1.5 liters per
day and normal salivary secretion without
stimulation is 0.1 ± 0.05ml / min
• PH of saliva is 6.5
• Salivary secretion can be incrased through
simple salivary reflexes and conditioned salivary
reflexes
• Compotition anorganic and organic of saliva
FUNCTION OF SALIVA GLAND
1. salivary gland function
The main function of the salivary gland is to
secrete saliva into the oral cavity to help protect the
mouth, digest food, kill bacteria, maintain the state
of the mouth.
