SIMPLE FUTURE! WHAT IS IT?
Simple future tense is used
to express the activities or
events that will do in the
future.
THE SIMPLE FUTURE HAS TWO
DIFFERENT FORMS IN ENGLISH

WILL BE GOING TO
Form:Positive (+) S+will+verb1.
Negative (-) S+will+not+verb 1.
interogatif (?) will+s+verb 1?

Example :
(+) You will win.
(-) We/I shall not win.
(?) Will you win?
USE
1. Spontaneous decisions: (No Plan)

Examples:
(+) A: The phone is ringing.
B: I'll get it. (i’ll = i will)

(-) We will not do your homework for


you.
I won't do all the housework myself!

(?) Will you make dinner?


2. Predictions based on what we think.

To predict the future, you usually use will with


the following verbs and expressions: expect,
believe, think, hope.

Examples:
I think it will rain in the evening.

Don’t touch the dog! It will bite you.


(the dog has sharp teeth)
3. To express promises.

Examples:

(+) Don't worry, We'll be careful.


(we’ll = we will)

(- ) I won't tell anyone your secret.

(? ) Will you call me when you arrive?


4. TO MAKE A REQUEST.

Answer:
Yes, I will.
No. I will not.
Form:
(+) s + be(am,is,are) + going to+verb 1
(-) s+be(am,is,are)+not+going to+verb 1
(?) be(am,is,are)+s+going to+verb 1

ex:(+) They are going to come.


(-) I am not going to come.
(?) Is he going to come?
USE

1. To express an intentions. (prior plan)


• Mark is going to eat out tonight.

• Dewi is going to buy a new car.


2. To express predictions (based on
the present situation).

Look ! The sky is
