FUTURE TENSE
➢ Simple Future Tense
The simple future tense is used when an action is promised/thought to occur in the future
Structure: Subject+shall/will+verb+..
Ex:We shall move to another city
The stucture of the present progressive tense also can be used when an action is
promoside/arranged/planned to take place in the near future.
Ex: We are moving to texas next week.
➢ Future Continuoua Tense
The future continous tense is used when an action is promised/thought to be going on a specific
time/context in the future.
Structure: subject +shall/will+be+verb+ing…..
Ex: I shall be sleeping at around 6.00 AM tomorrow
➢ Future prfect tense
The future perfect tense is used to demonstrate an action which is promised to be done by a
certain time in the future
Structure: subject+shall/will+have+verb in the past participle
Ex: I shall have completed the assignment by Monday

⚫ Positive form(+): subject+BE(am/is/are)+going to+V1(first form of ferb)
⚫ Negative form(-) subject+BE(am/is/are)+NOT+going to+V1(firs form of ferb)
⚫ Question form(?) BE(am/is/are)+subject+going to+V1(first form of verb)
⚫ Short answer forms(+/-):
⚫ Yes +subject+be(am/is/are)OR
⚫ NO+subject+be(am/is/are)+ NOT
Diferences between will and be going to
⚫ Will is used to make prediction. There is no evidence. It is just our personal opinion.
Ex: perhaps it will rain.(it is just prediction)
⚫ Be going to is used to make prediction. If there is an evidence, it is prefered instead of will
Ex: look at those black clouds. It is going to rain.( there is an evidence, most probably being
rainly).
⚫ Will is used for unplanned actions in future
Ex:I will fly to england.( I don’t have a flight ticket or reservation)
⚫ Be going to is used to indicate plannned actions
Ex: I have got a flight ticket to 3 oclock tomorow. Im going to fly to england.
