1. Video summary
1. Simple future tense
The simple future tense is used when an action is promised atau thought to occur
in the future
Structure: Subject + shall/will + verb + .....
Example:
 We shall move to another city
 He will come to New York tomorrow
 They will make a phone which has artificial intelligence
Note: the structure of the present progressive tense also can be used when an
action is promised/ arranged/ planned to take place in the near future.
 We are moving to Texas next week
 The bus is leving at 6.00 PM.
2. Future continuous tense
The future continuous tense is used when an action is promised/thought to be
going on at a specific time/context in the future
Structure: Subject + shall/will + be + verb+ing...
Example:
 I shall be sleeping at around 6.00 AM tomorrow
 They will be playing at this time tomorrow
 She will be watching TV when i come home
 I will be woking in the office while you watch a movie
3. Future perfect tense
The future perfect tense is used to demonstrate an action which is promised to be
done by a certain time in the future
Structure: Subject + shall/will + have+ verb in the past participle......
Example:
 I shall have completed the assignment by Monday
 She will have cleaned the house before her father comes
 Alex will have submitted the tender by tomorrow
 Before i go to see her, she will have left the place
 They will have finished making the bridge by january
4. Future tense with Be Going To
Structure for “Be Going To”
 Positive form (+): subject + BE (am, is, are) + going to + V1 (first form of
verb)
 Negative form (-): subject + BE (am, is, are) + not +going to + V1 (first
form of verb)
 Question form (?): BE (am, is, are) + subject + going to + V1 (first form of
verb)
 Short answer form (+/-):
- Yes + subject + be (am, is, are) OR
- No + subject + be (am, is, are) + NOT
Differences between “will” and “ be going to”
“will” is used to make prediction. There is no evidence. It is just our personal opinion.
Example:
 Perhaps it will rain. (it is just prediction)
 Maybe he will come again. (it is just prediction)
“Be Going To” is used to make prediction. If there is an evidence it is preferred instead of
“will”
Example:
 Look at those black clouds. It is going to rain. ( there is an evidence most probably
being rainly)
 Be careful! The bee is going to bite you
“will” is used to for unplanned action in future
Example:
 I will fly to England. ( i don’t have a flight ticket or reservation)
 We will see you again. (just we think to see you again in future, there is no a definite
or exact date or plan)
 She will b a doctor. (she i not a university studemts but she wants to be a doctor in
future)
“Be Going To” is used to indicate planned actions
Example:
 I have got a flight ticket to 3 o’clock tomorrow. I’m going to fly to England
 They have made reservations for their summer holiday. They’re going to spend their
holiday in london

5. (+) My mother is going to cook Asian food.


(-) My mother is not going to cook European food.
(?) What is your mother going to cook?

b. Future Continous Tense

(-) you will not be visiting me

2. (+) andra wil be drawing in the class

2. (+) The parade will have ended by the time you get out of bed.

(?) Will the parade have ended by the time you get out of bed?

3. (+) He will have spent all the money before holiday ends.
(-) He won’t have spent all the money before holiday ends.
(?) Will he have spent all the money before holiday ends?

4. (+) I will have reached the top achievement by the next five years.
(-) I won't have reached the top achievement by the next five years.
